R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may temper the profound sadness that the death of Shirley Grace Edge of Kerrville has brought to her family and many friends; and WHEREAS, A respected parishioner of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Mrs. Edge passed away on January 5, 2006, at the age of 72; and WHEREAS, She was born on December 28, 1933, in Hallettsville, to Wylie and Mary Jansky; with her husband, Eldon D. Edge, Sr., Mrs. Edge enjoyed a rewarding marriage that spanned 54 years; their union was enriched by a close-knit family whose members included four sons and four grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Edge inspired others through her devotion to her loved ones and her generous spirit, and her memory will be forever treasured by those who were blessed to share in her love and affection; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of Shirley Grace Edge and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, Eldon D. Edge, Sr.; to her children, Eldon D. Edge, Jr., and his wife, Susan, Darrell Edge and his wife, Virginia, Dana Edge, and Duwayne Edge and his wife, Delma; to her grandchildren, Ingrid Edge Petty and her husband, Jason, Rachael Edge, James Edge, and Trista Martinez; and to all who mourn the passing of this beloved woman; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Shirley Grace Edge.
