H.R. No. 76
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, U.S. Army Corporal Curtis A. Volling of Alice has
established an exemplary record of military service, having served
his country with distinction in both Kuwait and Iraq; and
WHEREAS, A member of the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry, Corporal
Volling completed his second tour of duty in Iraq in January 2006;
throughout his tenure as a member of one of the first units to enter
Iraq, he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his mission,
providing military training and medical support to the 3rd Brigade;
and
WHEREAS, Stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia, this 1991 Alice
High School graduate plans to pursue a teaching career and share his
insight and enthusiasm with tomorrow's leaders as a dedicated
elementary school teacher; and
WHEREAS, Through his steadfast devotion to duty, honor, and
this nation, Curtis Volling embodies the highest ideals of the U.S.
Armed Forces, and it is indeed a privilege to join in welcoming him
home; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend U.S. Army Corporal
Curtis A. Volling for his outstanding record of military service
and extend to him sincere best wishes for the best life has to offer
in the coming years; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Corporal Volling as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
