R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Arlie and Mary Bryant marked the joyous occasion of 
their 65th wedding anniversary with a dinner party attended by 
close friends on December 22, 2005; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Bryant and the former Mary Evelyn Taggart were 
joined in matrimony by the Reverend Martin Bryant, an uncle of the 
groom, in a ceremony held on December 22, 1940, in Ackerly; 
residents of Greenwood for the past 43 years, the pair are active 
congregants of Greenwood Baptist Church; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant take great pride in their 
children, Larry and Patty Bryant, as well as in their beloved 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mrs. Bryant is the former owner of TradeArama and 
Words and Music, from which she retired in 2004, while Mr. Bryant 
owned ABC Extermination until his retirement in 1989; and
	WHEREAS, For six and one-half decades, this devoted couple 
have supported and encouraged each other while sharing life's 
trials and triumphs, and blessed with the love and companionship of 
one another, many more joyful times surely await them; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Arlie and Mary 
Bryant on their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere 
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bryant as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
