R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Derwood and Joan Blagrave of Lamesa celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on August 28, 2005, and they were honored
by the members of their extended family with a memorable reception
that was enjoyed by all; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Blagrave and the former Joan Allred were united
in matrimony on August 28, 1955, at the home of the bride's parents
in Knott; and
WHEREAS, The couple take justifiable pride in their family,
which includes their children, Stan and his wife, Carla, and Steve
and his wife, Tracie, as well as their five treasured
grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, For 50 years, Derwood and Joan Blagrave have shared
the trials and triumphs of marriage as devoted partners, and their
enduring union is a source of inspiration to all who know and love
them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Derwood and
Joan Blagrave on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Blagrave as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
