R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Troy and Pauline Barnes of Midland marked a 
significant milestone in their life together on August 13, 2005, 
when they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at a party 
hosted by their family in Albuquerque, New Mexico; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony in 1955 in Oklahoma, Mr. Barnes 
and the former Pauline Lopez share an enduring union that has been 
blessed with three sons, Jerry, Wesley, and Karl; and
	WHEREAS, The couple have been valued members of the Midland 
community since 1995; Mrs. Barnes is a caring and supportive 
homemaker, while Mr. Barnes, a driver for Landstar Inway, has 
worked in the transportation industry for more than 30 years; and
	WHEREAS, This devoted couple have nurtured a strong bond of 
love and mutual respect, filling each other's lives with many happy 
times and cherished family memories over the past half a century, 
and it is indeed a pleasure to honor them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Troy and 
Pauline Barnes on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Barnes as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
