H.R. No. 111
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Neale and Jo Roy of Lamesa celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on September 25, 2005, marking a memorable
milestone in their lives together; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Roy married the former Jo Clark on September 24,
1955, in Cone, Mrs. Roy's hometown; their loving union has been
blessed with three children, Jan, Clark, and Michael, as well as a
son-in-law, Sammy Pugh, and six grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Lamesa residents since 1956, the Roys are esteemed
members of the community and longtime congregants of First United
Methodist Church; Mr. Roy has enjoyed a successful career in
automotive sales, while Mrs. Roy has been a dedicated homemaker
throughout their marriage; and
WHEREAS, For 50 years, Neale and Jo Roy have shared a strong
and lasting union, and their marriage offers eloquent testimony to
the meaning of love and commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Neale and Jo
Roy on their 50th anniversary and extend to them best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Roy as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
