R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gilford C. Roberts of McCamey 
celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on February 8, 2006, 
marking a memorable milestone in their lives together; and
	WHEREAS, Longtime McCamey residents, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts 
were united in matrimony in Westbrook; Mr. Roberts enjoyed a 
distinguished 40-year career with Shell Oil, and he and his wife 
have resided in numerous locations over the course of their 
marriage; today, they remain active in the McCamey community as 
respected congregants of McCamey Church of Christ; and
	WHEREAS, For 70 years, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts have shared an 
enduring union that serves as an inspiration to their family and 
friends as well as eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and 
commitment; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. 
Gilford C. Roberts on the occasion of their 70th wedding 
anniversary and extend best wishes to them for continued happiness; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Roberts as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
