R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is truly cause for rejoicing, and Glynn and Peggy Cunningham of Crane marked this momentous milestone in their marriage on September 24, 2005; and WHEREAS, Mr. Cunningham and the former Peggy Tidwell were married on September 24, 1955, in Greenville; they lived in Hillsboro and Midland before moving in 1961 to Crane, where they are respected members of the community and valued congregants of First Baptist Church; and WHEREAS, Today the Cunninghams are both enjoying a well-deserved retirement after productive careers; Glynn Cunningham devoted 29 years of service to Arco and Peggy Cunningham worked for Chevron until 1984 and with Crane County until 1998; and WHEREAS, This treasured couple have been blessed with a close-knit family that includes their children, Mickey, Greg, and Brian Cunningham and Cheryl Epley, as well as 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Partners for five decades, Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham have built an enduring relationship, and their marriage remains a source of inspiration and joy to all who have shared in the richness of their lives; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Glynn and Peggy Cunningham on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
