R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 55th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on September 29, 2005, Graydon and Martha Yester 
of Midland marked this memorable event in their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Yester and the former Martha Rhodes were married 
on September 29, 1950, at the First Christian Church in New 
Martinsville, West Virginia; blessed today with a fine family, they 
take great pride in their children, Richard Yester, Michael Yester 
and his wife, Gail, and Kathy Van Groningen and her husband, 
Richard, as well as their grandchildren, Reid and Scott Yester and 
Cory and Emily Van Groningen; and
	WHEREAS, Active members of the Midland community, the Yesters 
planned a family cruise to the Hawaiian Islands to celebrate their 
wonderful marriage, and they give thanks for all they have achieved 
together as active congregants of St. Luke's United Methodist 
Church; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Yester have shared life's joys and 
challenges for more than five decades as devoted partners, and 
their enduring union remains a source of joy and inspiration to all 
who know them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Graydon and 
Martha Yester on their 55th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Yester as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
