                                                                  H.R. No. 124



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Mary Etta McCaslin and Guy Thomas McCaslin of 
Midland celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in September 
2005, marking a momentous milestone in their long and happy union; 
and
	WHEREAS, Mr. McCaslin and the former Mary Etta Stidham were 
united in matrimony on September 1, 1945, in Wolfe City, and they 
have since enjoyed a marriage that has been blessed with three 
children, Rosemary Thayer, Reginald McCaslin, and Ronald McCaslin, 
as well as four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Valued residents of the Midland community since 
1999, the McCaslins attend St. Luke's United Methodist Church and 
are charter members of Spring Valley United Methodist Church, where 
Mrs. McCaslin once served as a preschool teacher; today they are 
both retired, he from Texas Instruments, Inc., and she from Midland 
College; and
	WHEREAS, Throughout the past six decades, Guy and Mary 
McCaslin have shared life's trials and triumphs, and their enduring 
union remains an inspiration to all who are privileged to know them; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Mary Etta 
McCaslin and Guy Thomas McCaslin on their 60th wedding anniversary 
and extend to them heartfelt best wishes for continued happiness 
together; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McCaslin as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
