R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, October 21, 2005, was truly a special day for
Midland residents Ennis and Lucille Cox, for on that date they
marked the memorable milestone of their 60th wedding anniversary;
and
WHEREAS, United in matrimony in 1945 in Eldorado, Kansas, Mr.
Cox and the former Lucille Morgan have since enjoyed a loving union
that has been blessed with two children, a grandchild, and a
great-grandchild; and
WHEREAS, Valued residents of Midland since 1972, the happy
couple have led busy and successful lives throughout the past six
decades; Mr. Cox enjoyed a career as a petroleum engineer for Exxon,
while Mrs. Cox distinguished herself as an animator and as an art
teacher over the course of her career; and
WHEREAS, The enduring marriage of Ennis and Lucille Cox
remains a genuine source of inspiration to all those with whom they
have shared the richness of their lives, and it is indeed a pleasure
to recognize them on their six decades of happiness together; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Ennis and
Lucille Cox on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them
heartfelt best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Coxes as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
