H.R. No. 126



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Stanton residents Pete and Marie Woody celebrated 
their 50th wedding anniversary on February 11, 2006, marking a 
milestone in their long and happy union; and
	WHEREAS, To commemorate this joyous occasion, the loving 
couple were the guests of honor at a special reception, where they 
were surrounded by their family and many friends; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Woody were united in matrimony in 1956, 
and they have since enjoyed a marriage that has grown stronger with 
each passing year; and
	WHEREAS, For five decades, Pete and Marie Woody have shared 
life's trials and triumphs hand in hand, and their lasting union 
offers eloquent testimony to the enduring power of love; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Pete and Marie 
Woody on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for many more years of happiness together; and, 
be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the Woodys as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
