H.R. No. 127



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, James and Joyce McClaine of Midland celebrated their 
golden wedding anniversary in August 2005 in the company of their 
extended family; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. McClaine and the former Alma Joyce Fry were 
united in matrimony on August 6, 1955, at the First Baptist Church 
in Cisco; and
	WHEREAS, Midland residents since 1968, Mr. and Mrs. McClaine 
count among their blessings their children, Stephen McClaine and 
his wife, Jenna, Brian McClaine and his wife, Elizabeth, and Brenda 
Carrens and her husband, Carey, and their grandchildren, Chris, and 
his wife, Dana, Lindsay, Lauren, Matthew, Sarah, Timothy, Joey, and 
Austin; and
	WHEREAS, The McClaines are active members of their church and 
respected volunteers in the Midland community; Mr. McClaine enjoyed 
a successful career as a petroleum engineer before retirement, 
while Mrs. McClaine has been a homemaker throughout their marriage; 
and
	WHEREAS, For five decades, James and Joyce McClaine have 
shared life's trials and triumphs hand-in-hand, and their enduring 
union remains an inspiration to all who know and love this esteemed 
couple; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate James and 
Joyce McClaine on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McClaine as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
