R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on August 19, 2005, Homer and Naomi Etheredge of 
Lamesa marked this special occasion in their long and happy union; 
and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Etheredge and the former Naomi Low were married 
in Menard on August 19, 1945, and over the past six decades, they 
have been blessed with a family that includes four sons, Don, Jim, 
Dennis, and Ted, their daughters-in-law, Cindy, Kimmie, Bitt, and 
Helen, and their 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Since 1952, the Etheredges have been valued members 
of the Lamesa community, where Mr. Etheredge worked in real estate 
and farming and Mrs. Etheredge has been a dedicated homemaker; and
	WHEREAS, The lives of this devoted couple have been greatly 
enriched by their love for one another, and their marriage remains 
an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Homer and 
Naomi Etheredge on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to 
them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Etheredge as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
