H.R. No. 132
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Charles and Barbara Wheeler of Rankin celebrated the
special milestone of their 50th wedding anniversary on September
30, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Married in 1955 in Iraan, Mr. Wheeler and the former
Barbara Odom were honored with a special party at Medina Lake, where
loved ones gathered to reflect on the strong bond that has united
these two people for this past half-century; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wheeler is retired from a 22-year career as the
owner and operator of Allen Oilfield Construction Company, while
Mrs. Wheeler is retired from a decade of service with Western Gas
Resources; together, they take great delight in the company of
their family, including their children Mark Wheeler and Rodd
Wheeler; and
WHEREAS, For five decades, Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler have enjoyed
a rewarding relationship built on mutual love and respect, and
their enduring union remains an inspiration to all those who have
shared in its joy; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature hereby honor Charles and Barbara Wheeler on their 50th
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
