R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Alvin and Lynn Harris of Lamesa marked a golden 
milestone on March 3, 2006, as they celebrated their 50th wedding 
anniversary with a special family dinner; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Harris and the former Lynn Sealy exchanged their 
wedding vows in 1956, and over the years they have been blessed with 
three children, Brian Harris and his wife, Tracey, Rhonda Harris, 
and Patti Stewart and her husband, Brent, as well as eight 
grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and
	WHEREAS, Respected residents of the Lamesa community, 
Mr. Harris has worked as a farmer, while Mrs. Harris has been a 
dedicated homemaker throughout their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, This devoted couple have shared life's trials and 
triumphs for half a century, and their happy union is a source of 
inspiration to their family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Alvin and Lynn Harris 
on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best 
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Harris as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
