R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
rejoicing, and Midland residents Wayne and Edna Kerley marked this 
momentous milestone in their long and happy marriage on August 22, 
2005; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Kerley and the former Edna Carter exchanged 
their wedding vows on August 22, 1955, at a ceremony held in 
Midland; their marriage has been blessed with two sons, Michael and 
Matthew Kerley, and grandchildren Addison and Bailey Kerley; and
	WHEREAS, Now enjoying a well-deserved retirement, Mrs. 
Kerley was formerly employed as a secretary for the Western Company 
and the Bariod Company, while Mr. Kerley served as battalion chief 
at the Midland Fire Department; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kerley have shared life's trials and 
triumphs for half a century, and they may reflect with pride on all 
they have achieved as devoted life partners; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby warmly congratulate Wayne 
and Edna Kerley on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Kerley as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
