H.R. No. 139



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Leo and Judy Carr of Midland commemorated their 
golden wedding anniversary on February 4, 2006, marking a 
significant milestone in the lives of these esteemed Texans; and
	WHEREAS, In celebrating this joyous occasion, the couple were 
joined by family and friends for a cookout and reception; the Carrs 
will continue their celebration with a European vacation planned 
for later in the year; and
	WHEREAS, Married since 1956, the couple obtained their higher 
education at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville before 
moving to Midland in 1962; Mr. Carr was employed by Humble Oil and 
Refining Company early in his career, and in 1978, he became an 
independent oil operator and remains active in the Midland area 
today as a geologist and geophysicist; Mrs. Carr is an 
investigative specialist who owns her own company and serves 
clients across the country; and 
	WHEREAS, Over the course of five decades together, Mr. and 
Mrs. Carr have built a strong bond of love and filled each other's 
lives with many happy times and cherished family memories; active 
in numerous clubs and organizations, they continue to enjoy life to 
the fullest in the company of the devoted partner they have found in 
one another; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Leo and Judy 
Carr on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them best 
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Carr as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
