R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Congregants of Love Sanctuary Church of God In 
Christ of Fort Worth gathered on March 19, 2006, to celebrate the 
rich history of their place of worship; and
	WHEREAS, Love Sanctuary Church of God In Christ was organized 
by Superintendent Augustus "Gus" Battles in 1947; the institution 
flourished and through the years its members have been blessed with 
a number of faithful shepherds, including Elder E. L. Battles, who 
moved the church to its current location at 1712 Evans Avenue, and 
the Reverend Charles Quillen, who served as pastor from 1996 to 
2001; and
	WHEREAS, Under the current leadership of Superintendent R. L. 
Williams, Sr., the church continues to inspire its members with 
warm fellowship and vital ministries; and
	WHEREAS, For nearly six decades, Love Sanctuary Church of God 
In Christ has provided steadfast spiritual guidance to the 
community it serves, and the church stands today as a tribute to the 
conviction and commitment of its dedicated leaders and congregants, 
both past and present; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor the members and 
clergy of Love Sanctuary Church of God In Christ and extend to all 
those involved with this noteworthy institution sincere best wishes 
for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the church as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
