R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Ed and Frances Stewart celebrated their 50th wedding 
anniversary on March 3, 2006, marking a golden milestone in their 
long and happy union; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Stewart and the former Frances Whitehead were 
married half a century ago in Midland, and since that time they have 
been blessed with a loving family that includes three children, 
Jamie Kerbo, Vicki Brideweser, and Russell Stewart, and three 
grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Valued residents of their community, the couple 
attend Golf Course Road Church of Christ; Mr. Stewart is retired 
from Southwestern Bell, while Mrs. Stewart held employment with 
Dorland Oil Producer, Southwestern Bell, Shell Oil, H. L. Brown, 
and C. F. Lawrence before her retirement; and
	WHEREAS, Ed and Frances Stewart have shared life's trials and 
triumphs throughout the past five decades, and their enduring union 
offers eloquent affirmation of the true meaning of love and 
commitment; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Ed and Frances 
Stewart on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Stewart as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
