H.R. No. 213



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Throughout her long and fruitful life, Buena Flora 
"Binky" Milligan of Crowley has brought great joy and happiness 
into the lives of her loved ones; and
	WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mrs. Milligan was 
born on January 7, 1907, in Hill County, the oldest of seven 
children; she graduated from high school in Ozarka, Oklahoma, and 
in 1930 married her beloved husband, William Harris Milligan, with 
whom she shared many wonderful years before his passing; and
	WHEREAS, This devoted homemaker is the heart of a large and 
loving family that includes two children, Phyllis Merlene and Glen 
Alvin, five grandchildren, Glenda Michelle, Robert Michael, Paula 
Janelle, Jacqui Lynn, and Mike, nine great-grandchildren, Tessa 
Marie, Tammy Michelle, Robert Michael, Jr., Johnny Alan, Jr., 
Barbara Ellen, Jaquilyn Lee, Jacob Earl, Adam Glen, and Madeline 
Jane, and eight great-great-grandchildren, Julia Michelle, Riley 
Alan, Kyllie Elizabeth, Barrett Alan, Sheyn Elizabeth, Morgan 
Lillie, David Michael, and Brian Christopher; and
	WHEREAS, In 2007, Mrs. Milligan will mark a special milestone 
when she celebrates her 100th birthday, to the delight of her many 
admirers; and
	WHEREAS, A cherished member of her family and community, 
Binky Milligan has earned a special place in the hearts of all who 
are privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Buena Flora "Binky" 
Milligan and extend to her warmest best wishes for continued good 
fortune and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mrs. Milligan as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
