                                                                  H.R. No. 251



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The family and friends of Michael Edward Snyder of 
Sherman were greatly saddened by his passing on March 4, 2006, at 
the age of 53, and we join them in mourning their loss; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of Austin College, Mr. Snyder was a 
managing partner of the accounting firm Snyder & Grisham and a 
member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants 
and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants; and
	WHEREAS, For a quarter of a century, this esteemed Texan 
enthusiastically participated in Boy Scouts of America activities, 
and was honored with that organization's District Award of Merit 
and Silver Beaver Award; and
	WHEREAS, A former president of the Grayson County Rotary 
Club, Mr. Snyder was also a vital and valued member of the board of 
directors of the WNJ Medical Center and an elder of Grand Avenue 
Presbyterian Church; and
	WHEREAS, Throughout his life he drew great strength and 
sustenance from his close-knit family, who knew him as a loving son, 
husband, father, and brother; and
	WHEREAS, Although his life ended far too soon, the memory of 
Michael Snyder's unique spirit will long be treasured by those 
fortunate enough to have known him; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of 
Michael Edward Snyder and extend sincere sympathy to the members of 
his family: to his wife, Susan Gould Snyder; to his son, David 
Andrew Snyder; to his daughter, Amy Elizabeth Snyder; to his 
father, Roy Snyder; to his brother, James Snyder; to his sister, 
Jeanette Britain; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, 
be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of 
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Michael 
Edward Snyder.
