R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Yantis residents Jack and Colleen Nolen celebrated 
the joyous occasion of their golden wedding anniversary on March 2, 
2006, marking a truly noteworthy milestone in their long and happy 
union; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on March 2, 1956, the couple 
have since been blessed with three children and their spouses, Mike 
and Pennie Nolen, Kay Nolen, and Paula and Dwayne Hughes, as well as 
seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Residents of Yantis for the past 45 years, the 
Nolens own and operate two Wood County dairy farms and are active 
community leaders; they have both served on the Yantis School Board 
and Yantis City Council, and Mrs. Nolen was mayor of the community 
for eight years; and
	WHEREAS, The enduring union of Jack and Colleen Nolen is a 
testament to the lasting power of love and is an inspiration to all 
those with whom they have shared the richness of their lives; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Jack and 
Colleen Nolen on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Nolen as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
