                                                                  H.R. No. 304



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Gloria T. Kennedy of San Antonio was honored by the 
Zeta Amicae auxiliary of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority for her outstanding 
service to the organization; and
	WHEREAS, A member of Zeta Amicae since 2000, Mrs. Kennedy has 
benefited the club in countless ways, including her important work 
as a member of the Sunshine Committee; and
	WHEREAS, Retired from the City of San Antonio in 1997 after 15 
years of dedicated service, Mrs. Kennedy has further contributed to 
the community through her volunteer work with the Stork Nest, a 
program sponsored by the chapter that provides prenatal care to 
pregnant women; moreover, she is a valued congregant of Greater 
Tree Mount Temple Baptist Church, sharing her time and talents with 
the congregation as the recording secretary of its usher ministry 
and as a member of its mission ministry; and
	WHEREAS, Gloria Kennedy truly embodies Zeta Phi Beta's 
principles of sisterly love and community service, and it is indeed 
a pleasure to recognize her for the invaluable contributions she 
has made to the vitality of Zeta Amicae and the community of San 
Antonio; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Gloria T. 
Kennedy on her selection as an honoree by the Zeta Amicae auxiliary 
of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and extend to her sincere best wishes for 
the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mrs. Kennedy as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
