R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An accomplished businesswoman and community leader, Ché White of San Antonio, has established a record of achievement that serves as an inspiration to many; and WHEREAS, Mrs. White has been involved in the fashion and pageant industry for more than two decades; the owner and manager of Diverse Dreams, L.L.C., which produces the Miss San Antonio USA and Miss San Antonio Teen USA pageants, she has served as judge, mistress of ceremonies, director, producer, and coordinator of pageant and fashion events across the Lone Star State and beyond; and WHEREAS, Possessed of many talents, she has held numerous positions throughout her professional career, working as a personal development instructor, motivational speaker, pageant and model trainer, wardrobe and beauty consultant, wedding planner, model, and commercial actor; and WHEREAS, Mrs. White has also shared her remarkable energy and ability with a host of worthy organizations; among the notable titles held by this committed community leader are charter member and committee vice president of the Great Ladies of San Antonio, charter member and treasurer of the South Texas Association for Self Esteem, board and committee member of the Carver Cultural Community Center Cavalcade and the local NAACP fund-raising dinner, and president of the board of directors for the San Antonio-based Children's Learning Center; and WHEREAS, Her exemplary efforts earned Mrs. White the 2000 Profiles in Leadership Award from the River City Business & Professional Women's Club, and over the years she has garnered dozens of pageant honors, including the Best Local Program Book Award and the Directors Achievement Award from Miss Texas USA; and WHEREAS, Ché White's diverse gifts have greatly enriched many lives, opening the doors of opportunity for countless young people with her time and talent; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Ché White for her contributions to her profession and community and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. White as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
