R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Girl Scout Shalee Hindes of Round Rock has awed her friends and family by selling a record-breaking 4,500 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, more than any other scout in the Austin area; and WHEREAS, Possessing enviable entrepreneurial skills, this 12-year-old Texan displayed an extraordinary ability to market the treats, all the while learning important life skills, including goal setting and decision making; and WHEREAS, Ms. Hindes has been selling cookies since the age of five, and to date, she has sold 14,584 boxes for a total of $43,752; while this remarkable achievement is certainly the result of her own hard work and determination, she has received many a helping hand from her proud family, including parents Stephen and Tonya Hindes and brother Tracen; and WHEREAS, Shalee Hindes's success exemplifies the best of the Girl Scout heritage; as this energetic and enterprising young lady embraces a future bright with promise, it is indeed a pleasure to recognize her; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Shalee Hindes for selling the most boxes of Girl Scout cookies in the Austin area and extend to her best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Hindes as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
