R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Clyde Calvin Edmondson of
Brady on April 21, 2006, at the age of 54, has brought a profoundly
felt loss to the family and friends of this beloved man; and
WHEREAS, Born in Colorado on October 4, 1951, Mr. Edmondson
graduated from Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyoming, and
worked for Henderson Molybdenum Mine & Mill in Parshall, Colorado,
for 20 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1993; and
WHEREAS, He moved to the Lone Star State shortly thereafter
and, in 1995, settled in Central Texas, making his home in Brady and
attending the Cowboy Church in Mason and Menard; the owner and
operator of Made in America Corrientes, Mr. Edmondson shared his
expertise as the cattle manager of the Wau-Ban-See Ranch in Camp San
Saba; hired by Kinnan and Jacqueline Golemon there in 1996 "until
the end of the year," he would share a close friendship and remain
in the couple's employ for the next 10 years; and
WHEREAS, This lifelong cowboy was a board member of the Texas
Corriente Association and a certified cattle judge with the North
American Corriente Association and judged the first Eastern
Corriente Association Regional Show; and
WHEREAS, Often found on horseback and in the company of his
dogs, Concho and Buddy, Mr. Edmondson was a professional horseshoer
and rodeo cowboy, participating in events as both a contestant and
judge, and he was a former member of the Junior Olympic Ski Team;
and
WHEREAS, Although his time on this earth ended far too soon,
those fortunate enough to have known Clyde Edmondson will long
remember a man whose love of the outdoors was surpassed only by his
devotion to his friends and family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
Clyde Calvin Edmondson and extend deepest sympathy to the members
of his family: to his son, Barton Edmondson; to his daughter, Ramie
Nuncio, and her husband, Joe; to his father, George E. Edmondson; to
his mother, Berniece Motz Palmer, and her husband, Carl; to his
grandchildren, Joseph Calvin Nuncio and Kadyn Lynn Nuncio; to his
sister, Sue Anne Mitchell, and her husband, Harry; to his nephews
and nieces, Troy Mitchell, Dusty Privetts, Garrett Mitchell, and
Sydney Privetts; to his special friends, Kinnan and Jacqueline
Golemon; and to his other loved ones; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Clyde
Calvin Edmondson.
