R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to a close with the
passing of Virginia L. Alarcon of Clint on April 12, 2006, at the
age of 75; and
WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Clint, Mrs. Alarcon was a
member of the San Lorenzo Catholic Church and had retired from the
Clint Independent School District after having served for more than
15 years; and
WHEREAS, Above all else, Mrs. Alarcon was a devoted wife and
mother who built a warm and loving home for her cherished husband
and children; she also took special pride in her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Virginia
Alarcon will remember her enduring love of family and community,
and although she will be sorely missed, her memory will long endure
in the hearts of those whose lives she touched; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
Virginia L. Alarcon and extend deepest sympathy to the members of
her family: to her husband of 58 years, Jose G. Alarcon; to her
sons, Guillermo Alarcon, Jose Alarcon, Jr., Oscar Alarcon, and
Waldo Alarcon; to her daughters, Rosalinda Vigil and Dorina Lucero;
to her 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; to her
sisters, Ester Greber and Gloria Alarcon; to her brother, Paul
Lopez; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Virginia L.
Alarcon.
