R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Propelling us toward new challenges, wider
perspectives, and increasing independence, high school graduation
is one of life's pivotal milestones, and Stewart Allan Nixon is
graduating from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston on May
21, 2006; and
WHEREAS, Blessed with a range of talents, this esteemed Texan
is known for his academic, musical, and athletic abilities; he
enjoys playing a variety of instruments, including the piano,
guitar, and banjo, and counts football, basketball, and baseball
among his favorite sports; moreover, he is a superb student and a
member of the National Honor Society, having made the Honor Roll
each semester he was at Strake Jesuit; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Nixon has been accepted by the Texas A&M
University School of Business, where he plans to earn a bachelor of
business administration degree and hone his Aggie pride; as his
father, Representative Joe Nixon, is an alumnus, and his brother,
Nicholas Nixon, is a current A&M student, he already knows well what
it means to "bleed maroon"; and
WHEREAS, It is not hard to imagine the success that awaits
Stewart Nixon, and it is with admiration and respect that we honor
him at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Stewart Allan
Nixon on the occasion of his high school graduation and extend to
him sincere best wishes for much happiness and success in the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Nixon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
