H.R. No. 429



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The year 2006 marks the 100th anniversary of the 
founding of Texas First State Bank in Riesel; and
	WHEREAS, Opened on July 5, 1906, this enduring institution is 
the fourth oldest state chartered bank in the Lone Star State and 
has proven to be a lasting and valued part of its local community; 
and
	WHEREAS, Through the years, this hometown bank has earned a 
reputation for personal service and commitment to customer 
satisfaction that continues from its early days; to better serve 
area residents, new branches have been opened in recent years, 
including ones in Waco, Woodway, and Gatesville; and
	WHEREAS, The Texas First State Bank of Riesel has been a 
reliable provider of financial services to the citizens of Central 
Texas for a century, and it is a pleasure to recognize this fine 
business on this truly historic occasion; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Texas First 
State Bank of Riesel on its 100th anniversary and extend to all 
those associated with it sincere best wishes for continued success; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the bank as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
