R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Julio Aguilar was named a finalist in the General 
Land Office 2006 Treasures of the Texas Coast Children's Art 
Contest; and
	WHEREAS, This talented six-year-old is currently a 
first-grade student at John Drugan School in El Paso; his 
exceptional work, selected from more than 6,700 entries, earned Mr. 
Aguilar a host of prizes, including a ticket to the Texas State 
Aquarium in Corpus Christi and passes to Schlitterbahn Waterpark; 
and
	WHEREAS, An annual competition, the Treasures of the Texas 
Coast art contest encourages young artists to learn about the 
natural resources found along the Lone Star State's shoreline and 
helps spread the message that "Trashing Texas Beaches Isn't Cool"; 
and
	WHEREAS, With his compelling picture, Julio Aguilar has 
demonstrated outstanding ability and imagination, and his 
achievement is a source of great pride to his family and community; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Julio Aguilar 
on being named a finalist in the General Land Office 2006 Treasures 
of the Texas Coast Children's Art Contest and extend to him sincere 
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Aguilar as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
