R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Eleanor A. Wilson retired from her position as the director of Library Collection Development in the Bryan Wildenthal Memorial Library at Sul Ross State University on August 31, 2005; and WHEREAS, Throughout her distinguished 24-year career, Ms. Wilson ably served the university in a variety of positions, including librarian, director of Library Public Services, and interim library director, and her noted professionalism not only aided countless students, faculty, staff, and the community, but also provided a steadying force as the library navigated the myriad changes brought about by the advent of the Internet, online databases, and electronic books; and WHEREAS, In each of her many endeavors, Ms. Wilson readily displayed her characteristic determination, humor, caring attitude, and cheerful nature, all of which earned her the lasting respect and admiration of those who worked with her; and WHEREAS, Eleanor Wilson has played a critical role in the education of countless students and demonstrated a firm commitment to academic and professional excellence, and she is most deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Eleanor A. Wilson on her retirement from the Sul Ross State University Bryan Wildenthal Memorial Library and extend to her best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
