H.R. No. 504



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Plano Senior High School Wildcats boys' 
basketball team achieved a pinnacle of success on the hardwood on 
March 11, 2006, when it won the state 5A championship title; and
	WHEREAS, Led by junior point guard and the game's most 
valuable player, John Roberson, the Wildcats defeated the 
formidable defending champions, Humble Kingwood, 60 to 58 in 
overtime at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin to claim the coveted 
championship crown for the first time in school history; and
	WHEREAS, Contributing to this total team effort were Rex 
Burkhead, Nathan Christian, Michael Daniel, Joseph Fulce, Greg 
Harrell, Chris Hsiao, Robert Jackson, Cody Jones, Anton Korolev, 
Lawrence Mann, Anteus Mann, Raahul Ramakrishnan, John Roberson, 
Tyler Roof, Landon Skinner, and Eric Zastoupil; Coach Tom Inman 
ably schooled his charges in the game's fundamentals while 
instilling in them the values of hard work, dedication, and good 
sportsmanship; and
	WHEREAS, These outstanding student-athletes are a source of 
tremendous pride to their school, their families, and all of their 
supporters in the community, and the memory of this remarkable 
achievement will undoubtedly remain with them for many years to 
come; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate the Plano 
Senior High School Wildcats boys' basketball team on winning the 
state 5A championship and extend to Coach Inman and his players best 
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
