R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sandra Bledsoe of Williamson County is retiring from teaching on May 25, 2006, and the conclusion of her distinguished 31-year career in education offers a fitting opportunity to honor her for her service to the young people of Texas; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Bledsoe began her teaching career in Lubbock, where she taught first and third grades at Lubbock Christian School; she also taught third grade for Slaton Independent School District; and WHEREAS, After moving to Round Rock, this dedicated educator resumed her calling at Doublecreek Farm Private School, teaching a combined kindergarten and first-grade class for seven years; in her last year of employment with Doublecreek Farm, she ran the private school and taught four-year-olds; and WHEREAS, For the past 20 years, Mrs. Bledsoe has shared her love of learning with elementary school students of Hutto Independent School District; and WHEREAS, Although she will be deeply missed, Sandra Bledsoe may reflect with pride on the legacy of success and achievement in the teaching profession that she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Sandra Bledsoe on the occasion of her retirement from teaching and extend to her best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. Bledsoe as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
