R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Katharine White, Lauren Nicole Worthy, Jennifer 
Conklin, and Lora Grotte, all members of the Girl Scouts of the San 
Antonio Area, have completed the demanding requirements needed to 
achieve scouting's highest honor, the Girl Scout Gold Award; and
	WHEREAS, These remarkable young women have attained this 
outstanding level of success by completing interest project 
patches, career exploration activities, a leadership award, and an 
individual challenge; each girl then planned and implemented a Gold 
Award project that will be of lasting benefit to her community; and
	WHEREAS, These talented Texans have proven themselves worthy 
to stand among scouting's elite, and the dedication, hard work, and 
perseverance they have shown in achieving this goal will surely 
continue to serve them well in the years to come; now, therefore, be 
it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby warmly congratulate 
Katharine White, Lauren Nicole Worthy, Jennifer Conklin, and Lora 
Grotte on their receipt of the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to 
them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for each of these young women as an expression of high 
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
