R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Maria Graciela Jimenez, a teacher at Woodlake Hills 
Middle School in the Judson ISD, has been selected as a finalist for 
the 2006 Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching by Trinity 
University; and
	WHEREAS, The prestigious Trinity Prize for Excellence in 
Teaching awards recognize educators for their outstanding 
classroom performance as well as their leadership as members of 
their profession and community; and
	WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious 
resource, and their receipt of a quality education is essential if 
they are to become successful adults; Ms. Jimenez has demonstrated 
the drive and determination that inspire and motivate students and 
help them to move forward on the path to a bright and promising 
future; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Maria 
Graciela Jimenez of Woodlake Hills Middle School in the Judson ISD 
on being named a finalist for the 2006 Trinity Prize for Excellence 
in Teaching by Trinity University and extend to this outstanding 
educator best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Jimenez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
