R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Wendy Lynn Trent, a teacher at East Central Heritage 
Middle School in the East Central ISD, has been selected as a 
finalist for the 2006 Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching by 
Trinity University; and
	WHEREAS, The prestigious Trinity Prize for Excellence in 
Teaching awards recognize educators for their outstanding 
classroom performance as well as their leadership as members of 
their profession and community; and
	WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious 
resource, and their receipt of a quality education is essential if 
they are to become successful adults; Ms. Trent has demonstrated 
the drive and determination that inspire and motivate students and 
help them to move forward on the path to a bright and promising 
future; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Wendy Lynn 
Trent of East Central Heritage Middle School in the East Central ISD 
on being named a finalist for the 2006 Trinity Prize for Excellence 
in Teaching by Trinity University and extend to this outstanding 
educator best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Trent as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
