No. 588R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Rebecca Bright has earned the Kiwanis Woodrow Counts Arlington Elementary School Teacher of the Year Award; and WHEREAS, Dedicated to the pursuit of professional excellence, Ms. Bright is an active and engaged educator at Ellis Elementary School, where she has taught fourth grade since 1990; and WHEREAS, Ms. Bright also serves the school as Student Council sponsor, spelling bee coordinator, and after-school TAKS teacher and further lends her time and talents to the Curriculum Committee, Transition Team Committee, Language Proficiency Assessment Committee, and Site Based Decision Making Committee, to name but a few; and WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Bright is making meaningful contributions as an educator, and her efforts recently earned her the title of Ellis Elementary 2006 Teacher of the Year; and WHEREAS, This outstanding educator has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her students, and she may reflect with pride on the positive and lasting impact she is having on the lives of countless young Texans; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Rebecca Bright on earning the Kiwanis Woodrow Counts Arlington Elementary School Teacher of the Year Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Bright as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
