R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Midland residents Dorothy and Wade L. Gamblin 
observed the joyous occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary on 
March 22, 2006; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Gamblin and the former Dorothy Jean Gillespie 
were united in matrimony six decades ago in Odessa; their union has 
been blessed with three children, Leland Gamblin, Patty Rose, and 
Linda Weldon, as well as four grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, A veteran of World War II, Mr. Gamblin retired from 
Midwest Electric Company in 1984 and now works as a Midland 
Independent School District crossing guard, while Mrs. Gamblin has 
long been a dedicated homemaker; and
	WHEREAS, This loving couple lived in Sweetwater and Monahans 
before making their home in Midland more than 50 years ago; valued 
members of their community, they attend Woodcrest Drive Church of 
Christ; and
	WHEREAS, Wade and Dorothy Gamblin have shared life's trials 
and triumphs together, and their lasting union offers eloquent 
testimony to the enduring power of their love; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Dorothy and 
Wade Gamblin on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them 
best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gamblin as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
