H.R. No. 700


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Propelling us toward new challenges, wider perspectives, and increasing independence, high school graduation is one of life's pivotal milestones, and William Anthony Callegari III is graduating from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston on May 21, 2006; and WHEREAS, Blessed with a range of talents, Will Callegari participated in football, wrestling, and lacrosse, in which he earned three varsity letters; he made All-State Band his sophomore year and went on to earn three varsity letters in both the symphonic and jazz bands; he has enjoyed leadership roles in numerous organizations, including the Young Republican Club, Youth Ambassadors for Christ, the Crusader Guard, and the Tailgating Club, which he also founded; in addition, he is active in Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church as a Eucharistic minister, and he recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout; and WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan, the oldest grandson of Representative William A. Callegari, Sr., and Ann Callegari and the son of William and Denise Callegari, has embarked on a different path from his grandparents and parents, who are all LSU graduates; nominated to the U.S. Naval Academy, he chose to accept a four-year scholarship to The Citadel and plans to prepare to serve his country as an officer in the U.S. military; and WHEREAS, It is not hard to imagine the success that awaits Will Callegari, and it is with admiration and respect that we honor him at this time; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate William Anthony Callegari III on the occasion of his high school graduation and extend to him sincere best wishes for much happiness and success in the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Callegari as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
