R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The family and friends of Eula B. Pace McCray of Dallas may find comfort in memories of happy times shared with this beloved woman, who died on April 27, 2006, at the age of 80; and WHEREAS, Born to Sid Pace and Katie Jackson on February 12, 1926, in Cotton Valley, Louisiana, she grew up with 13 brothers and sisters and attended public schools in McNeil, Arkansas; and WHEREAS, With her husband, the late Forest McCray, Sr., Mrs. McCray enjoyed a fulfilling marriage that was made even richer as the couple become the parents of four children; as her family continued to grow through the years, she enjoyed the love and affection of two more generations of descendants; and WHEREAS, Mrs. McCray shared her unwavering faith with the congregation of Arlington Park First Baptist Church, which she helped establish in 1953, and where she served on the deaconess and mission boards and in the choir; and WHEREAS, Eula McCray brightened the lives of many people through her kindness, strong faith, and concern for others, and she will long be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to share in her love and friendship; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of Eula B. Pace McCray and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her children, Cheridean, Forest, Norma, and Sydney; to her grandchildren, Bruce, Morita, Kathy, Faith, Hope, Aniqua, Ruben, and Valerie; to her great-grandchildren, Dennis, Courtney, Bruce, Marquis, Karlesha, Lyndon, Joshia, Mikaria, Cynthia, and Shatodra; to her sister, Lizzie Bryant; to her brothers and their wives, Sid Wendell and Ruth Pace, Burnell and Bobbie Pace, Clifton and Doris Pace, and C. L. and Onettia Pace; to her nieces, Katie Harris and Harris Hodge; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Eula McCray.
