R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Sydney Kantapit-Castillo, a member of the Girl 
Scouts of the San Antonio Area, has attained the organization's 
highest commendation, the Gold Award, and she truly merits special 
recognition for her notable accomplishment; and
	WHEREAS, Receiving the Girl Scout Gold Award is a significant 
honor, bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the scouting 
movement; to reach this outstanding level of success, a young woman 
must meet exacting criteria, including completing interest project 
patches, career exploration activities, a leadership award, and an 
individual challenge; the final requirement is the planning and 
implementation of a Gold Award project that will be of lasting 
benefit to the residents of the scout's community; and
	WHEREAS, The exceptional maturity, dedication, and 
perseverance that Ms. Kantapit-Castillo has demonstrated in 
pursuit of her goals will surely help her continue to shine as she 
meets the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby warmly congratulate Sydney 
Kantapit-Castillo on her receipt of the Girl Scout Gold Award and 
extend to her sincere best wishes for the coming years; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Kantapit-Castillo as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
