R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The boys' golf team of Highland Park High School in 
Dallas captured the University Interscholastic League Class 4A 
State Championship on May 9, 2006; and
	WHEREAS, This achievement marks the seventh straight title 
for the team, which sets a new record for the most consecutive 
championships in the history of Texas high school golf and confirms 
Highland Park as a true dynasty in the sport; and
	WHEREAS, In earning its title, the team relied on outstanding 
play from each member of its talented group, including Cody 
Gribble, who placed second overall in the state tournament, Paul 
Haley, who placed third, Neal Robinson, Hunter Stensrud, and Bryan 
Kay; these admirable student-athletes were guided by Coach Jeff 
Loyd, who drew top-notch performances out of each player and 
schooled them in the fine art of winning with class; and
	WHEREAS, With this outstanding win, the team takes its 
rightful place alongside those who have established the school's 
mastery of the sport, and its victory stands as yet another proud 
moment for the students, faculty, and supporters of Highland Park 
athletics; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate the boys' golf 
team of Highland Park High School for winning the Class 4A State 
Championship for 2006 and extend to its coach and members sincere 
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the team and Coach Loyd as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
