R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Lone Star State became home to a new Texan with 
the birth of Omari Alexander Johnson on May 11, 2006, at North 
Austin Medical Center; and
	WHEREAS, The son of Kenya Juanita Johnson, a transplanted 
Texan from Illinois, and Damon Alexander Johnson, this charming 
young lad weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and measured 20.5 inches in 
length when he made his long-awaited arrival at 11:17 a.m.; and
	WHEREAS, Blessed with an irresistible smile and a winning 
personality, Omari has brought great joy to the hearts of his 
parents, his big sister, Kamryn Jai Johnson, his grandparents, Ella 
and Arnold Johnson and Lawrence Varnado, and his 
great-grandparents, Elwood and Miriam Bowen and Dennis and Therroll 
Polk; and
	WHEREAS, Omari begins his life sheltered in the safe and 
loving embrace of his family, and with their support, dedication, 
and guidance, he will surely be blessed with a bright and promising 
future; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Kenya Juanita 
Johnson and Damon Alexander Johnson on the birth of their precious 
son, Omari Alexander Johnson, and extend to the family sincere best 
wishes for the years ahead; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Omari and his parents as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
