H.R. No. 777
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Those young Texans who dedicate themselves to the
pursuit of academic excellence are truly deserving of our praise
and admiration, and in being named the 2006 valedictorian of
Andress High School in El Paso, Wesley Walker has distinguished
himself as one such scholar; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Walker is a member not only of the National Honor
Society but also of the school's science club and orchestra and
participates in track and cross-country; and
WHEREAS, His many accomplishments are made all the more
remarkable by the fact that he is a junior graduating a year early
with a GPA of 104; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Walker plans to attend Stanford University in
the fall, and as he begins an exciting new chapter in his life, we
join his family, friends, and many admirers in celebrating a future
that is bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 79th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Wesley Walker on
being named Andress High School's 2006 valedictorian and extend to
him sincere best wishes for success in all his future endeavors;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Walker as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
