A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to appropriating money to pay for a judgment rendered in 
certain litigation.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  In addition to amounts previously appropriated 
to the comptroller of public accounts for the state fiscal biennium 
ending August 31, 2007, an amount not to exceed $430,000 is 
appropriated to the comptroller out of the general revenue fund for 
the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2007, to pay Anna M. 
Abraham for damages, court costs, expert witness fees, and 
attorney's fees, plus additional interest, if any, as provided by 
the judgment of the court in the case styled Anna M. Abraham v. The 
Texas Rehabilitation Commission, No. GN-303143 (353rd Dist. Ct., 
Travis County, Tex., judgment entered on November 10, 2004), as 
affirmed by the Third Court of Appeals.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as 
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this 
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 
Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the 
legislative session.
