SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 27
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the Stephen F. Austin High School class of 1956 on the occasion of its 50-year reunion; and WHEREAS, This reunion is an opportunity for the class members to reminisce about the many high school adventures they shared and the reunion activities of years past; and WHEREAS, In gathering together to celebrate their 50th reunion, the members of the class of 1956 are expressing their longtime commitment to tradition, unity, and friendship; and WHEREAS, The class of 1956 gives special meaning to the school motto of "Loyal Forever"; it created the S. F. Austin High Continuing Education Foundation, ensuring loyalty to the idea of education itself; and WHEREAS, The foundation provides scholarships to deserving students, offering them the opportunity for a brighter future; and WHEREAS, The students of the class of 1956 have become leaders and productive members of their communities, and they deserve to be proud of their many successful endeavors; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend the members of the Stephen F. Austin High School class of 1956 for their many accomplishments and extend to them best wishes for a joyful and rewarding 50th reunion; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
