SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 30

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Daryl Skinner, principal of Monahans Alternative 
Education Center, for his exceptional contributions to 
Monahans-Wickett-Pyote Independent School District; and

	WHEREAS, Monahans Alternative Education Center was 
established as a way for students at risk of dropping out of 
high school to complete their education; Daryl Skinner has 
helped the center become a school where students anticipate 
graduation as a celebration of the possibilities of life; and

	WHEREAS, The students at the center have benefited 
immeasurably from the caring spirit of this dynamic educator, 
who has given generously of his time and abilities; and

	WHEREAS, Mr. Skinner continually seeks to meet the needs 
of the students and teachers; through his efforts, the campus 
was equipped with new computers and a new, computer-based 
curriculum; and

	WHEREAS, The students and faculty of the Monahans 
Alternative Education Center are fortunate to have such a 
dedicated principal, and he is truly worthy of legislative 
recognition; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
79th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend
Daryl Skinner for his outstanding accomplishments as principal
of the Monahans Alternative Education Center; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
