SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 37
WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is pleased to recognize Alita Rose Andrews for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award; this fine young woman is being presented the coveted award by the Girl Scouts of Tejas Council; and WHEREAS, The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest level of achievement in the Girl Scout program; and WHEREAS, Through the process of earning the Gold Award, girls develop a lifelong commitment to community service and gain skills that will contribute to their future success; and WHEREAS, Alita has displayed leadership by designing and conducting a service project that will have a positive and lasting effect on her community; and WHEREAS, In receiving the Gold Award, Alita has brought great honor to herself, her family, her council, her community, and her state, and she deserves recognition for her accomplishment; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Alita Rose Andrews on receiving this prestigious award and congratulate her on her outstanding achievement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
