SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 66

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the 
citizens of Spring in congratulating Grady Meloy of Spring, who 
recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and

	WHEREAS, This outstanding young man has brought honor to 
himself, his family, his troop, and his community in earning the 
coveted Eagle Badge; and

	WHEREAS, Grady completed a service project that required 
him to exercise his leadership abilities and at the same time 
benefit his community; and

	WHEREAS, Few are privileged to be named among the ranks of 
the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only two out of every 100 Boy 
Scouts earn this distinguished honor; and

	WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and 
promise, Grady advanced from Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, 
and Life classes to Eagle Scout; he is truly an exemplary citizen 
of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Grady Meloy 
on earning the rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his 
great accomplishment; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
Eagle Scout Meloy as an expression of high regard from the 
Texas Senate.
